ASX-listed biotech reports significant Q3 2026 growth and secures a US$35 million milestone payment from its partner Acadia.

Neuren Pharmaceuticals (ASX: NEU) announced on 5 November 2026 a significant upgrade to its full-year 2026 income guidance for trofinetide, driven by robust Q3 2026 net sales of DAYBUE and a key milestone payment. Neuren Pharmaceuticals is an Australian biotechnology company focused on developing new drug therapies for serious neurological disorders caused by genetic abnormalities or brain injury. The company now anticipates total income from trofinetide, including royalties and milestone payments, to be between US$91 million and US$93 million, a substantial increase from the previous forecast of US$53 million to US$56 million.

The enhanced outlook stems from strong Q3 2026 performance by its partner, Acadia Pharmaceuticals, which reported DAYBUE net sales of US$140 million. This marks a 39% increase compared to Q3 2025 and a 12% rise from Q2 2026, primarily driven by the strong uptake of DAYBUE STIX. Acadia also lifted its full-year 2026 global net sales guidance for trofinetide to between US$505 million and US$520 million. Complementing this, Neuren secured a US$35 million milestone payment following the successful launch of DAYBUE in Germany in October 2026, marking its expansion into the European market.

This positive sales momentum saw Neuren’s Q3 2026 royalty income reach US$16.4 million, a 51% increase from Q3 2025. Consequently, Neuren’s anticipated full-year 2026 royalty income has been adjusted upwards to US$56 million to US$58 million. The company further highlighted the allowance of a new US patent covering weight-banded dosing of trofinetide, extending intellectual property protection until March 2041. In Japan, trial results for trofinetide in Rett syndrome supported a planned regulatory submission in 2027, with a potential launch in 2028, subject to approval. Neuren CEO Jon Pilcher said the “impressive performance of DAYBUE in Q3 2026 and an outlook that continues to strengthen” reflects strong momentum and new growth beyond North America.
