The Australian sharemarket extended its gains on Friday, with the S&P/ASX 200 trading at 8,943.30 at 12.25 AEDT, up approximately 1 per cent. Ten of the 11 sectors were higher, led by consumer discretionary, industrials and healthcare. Clever Culture Systems completes three APAS sales as pharmaceutical demand grows
Clever Culture Systems (ASX: CC5) has reported three completed sales of its AI-powered APAS Independence microbiology platform during the September quarter, including two instruments supplied to Novo Nordisk in Europe and one to AstraZeneca in the United States. The sales lifted its installed instrument base to 37 units, compared with 26 a year earlier. The company expects sales and new customer evaluations to reach a combined eight units in the first half of FY27, supported by ongoing discussions with global pharmaceutical manufacturers. Clever Culture Systems has also appointed PSC Biotech as its sales agent across North America and Singapore to expand its commercial reach. The company ended September with $1.4 million in cash and expects $3.9 million in committed or anticipated cash inflows over the following two quarters, although some receipts remain dependent on contracts being finalised. Meanwhile, trading in Clever Culture Systems shares has been halted pending a capital raising announcement. The funds are expected to support development of a smaller desktop version of its APAS technology, targeting lower-volume pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. Yandal Resources secures $9 million placement to accelerate gold exploration
Yandal Resources (ASX: YRL) has secured firm commitments for a $9 million share placement and plans to raise a further $1 million through a share purchase plan to accelerate exploration across its Western Australian gold projects. The placement involves issuing 120 million new shares, with approximately $1.9 million subject to shareholder approval. Major shareholder Gold Fields is expected to hold a 19.9 per cent interest following the placement. The proposed share purchase plan will offer eligible shareholders an opportunity to participate at the same issue price as the placement.

Mithril Silver and Gold (ASX: MTH) has extended high-grade silver and gold mineralisation along the Copalquin-Zaragoza structure at its Copalquin project in Mexico from 550 metres to 700 metres of strike length. New drilling returned intersections including 1.15 metres grading 855 grams per tonne silver and 2.76 grams per tonne gold, while another hole intersected half a metre grading 1,520 grams per tonne silver and 3.11 grams per tonne gold. Additional sampling near the historic San Manuel mine returned grades of up to 16.55 grams per tonne gold and 616 grams per tonne silver over 0.6 metres. Pivotal Metals identifies new 1.4-kilometre copper-nickel target in Quebec
Pivotal Metals (ASX: PVT) has identified a previously untested 1.4-kilometre geophysical trend at its LaForce copper-nickel prospect within the Belleterre Project in Quebec, Canada. The target was defined through reinterpretation of historical surveys and extends from known mineralisation, where earlier drilling returned 102.7 metres grading 0.39 per cent copper and 0.76 per cent nickel. At Lorraine Mine East, initial assays from three drill holes confirmed copper-nickel mineralisation approximately one kilometre east of the former producing mine, although reported grades were relatively modest. Results from two additional holes are expected by early December. Pivotal is also preparing a 60-line-kilometre geophysical survey at its Bambino prospect to identify further drilling targets.
