New claims consolidate ground over historical gold intercept at Red Hat, complementing existing lithium resources.

Critical Resources Limited (ASX:CRR), an Australian mining and technology company focused on the discovery and development of critical minerals and next-generation technologies essential to a sustainable future, has announced the staking of additional mining claims at its wholly owned Mavis Lake Project in north-western Ontario, Canada. These new claims consolidate the company’s ground position over the Red Hat gold target. The area includes a historical diamond drill hole reportedly intersecting 9.174 grams per tonne gold over 1.2 metres, adding a potential gold prospect alongside the project’s established lithium resource.

The newly staked claims, approximately 40 hectares, are contiguous with the broader Mavis Lake Project tenure. They are situated along strike from the Red Hat gold showing and are interpreted to contain historical drill hole RH11-03. The reported historical intercept from this hole provides a focused target for geological review and field verification. Red Hat forms part of an underexplored, approximately 14-kilometre east-west polymetallic trend hosted by felsic to intermediate volcanic rocks across the Mavis Lake Project. This staking was completed without purchase consideration, incurring only normal government claim costs.

This expansion builds on Critical Resources’ consolidated Mavis Lake landholding of over 400 square kilometres, which also hosts an Inferred Mineral Resource of 8.0 million tonnes at 1.07% lithium oxide. The Mavis Lake Project benefits from its proximity to highway and rail infrastructure, established grid power, and supportive policy settings for critical minerals. Critical Resources intends to validate the underlying historical records and accurately locate RH11-03 before determining next exploration steps. The company notes that these historical exploration results have not been reported in accordance with the JORC Code 2012, and a Competent Person has not completed sufficient work to disclose them under JORC 2012.
