ASX-listed technology company receives government support to advance its IONSolv™ rare-earth recovery platform.

Iondrive Limited (ASX: ION) has announced that it has received $1,026,151 under the Australian Government’s R&D Tax Incentive scheme for the financial year ended 30 June 2026. This significant financial boost will support the company’s strategic initiatives. Iondrive is a technology company advancing IONSolv™, a proprietary metal extraction platform rooted in deep eutectic solvent chemistry. This innovative platform is designed to facilitate the selective recovery of critical minerals from various feedstocks, with a particular focus on scalable deployment across rare earths, solar, and battery materials supply chains.

The receipt of these funds was previously foreshadowed in the company’s September 2026 Quarterly Activities Report, where the R&D tax incentive claim was first disclosed. The capital is specifically allocated to accelerate the technical qualification, enhance customer engagement strategies, and advance engineering processes. These efforts are central to Iondrive’s strategy as it works to commercialise its IONSolv™ rare-earth recovery technology within the United States market.

The company emphasised that this incentive is a crucial component in its broader funding strategy. Iondrive continues to actively progress separate funding opportunities for its proposed first commercial processing module, which is slated for development in Oklahoma. This multifaceted approach to securing capital underscores Iondrive’s commitment to bringing its critical-minerals recovery solutions to commercial readiness and deployment in key global markets.
