Capital Raise Bolsters Balance Sheet to Fund Three Key Growth Programmes Amidst Rising Demand in Metabolic and Obesity Clinical Trials.

Resonance Health Ltd (ASX: RHT), an Australian healthcare technology and services company providing services globally to clinicians and pharmaceutical companies for disease management and clinical trials, has successfully completed an oversubscribed $6.0 million share placement. The capital raise secured firm commitments from institutional, professional, and sophisticated investors, significantly bolstering the company’s balance sheet. These funds are designated to fully finance three key growth programmes over the next 24 months, capitalising on the expanding market for GLP-1, metabolic, and obesity clinical trials.

The placement involved issuing approximately 83.3 million new fully paid ordinary shares at 7.2 cents per share, which represents a 6.4% discount to the five-day volume-weighted average price. Bell Potter Securities Ltd managed the offer, which saw strong demand from both existing and new institutional shareholders. Following the placement, Resonance Health’s pro forma cash is projected to increase from $4.8 million to $10.4 million, with net cash rising from $2.3 million to $7.9 million, based on adjusted 30 June 2026 figures.

The newly secured capital is allocated to three strategic initiatives. This includes $1.2 million for MRI endpoint acceleration, focusing on muscle fat and mass endpoints for obesity trial imaging; $1.5 million for expanding the TrialsWest east coast network with new investigator sites; and $1.5 million for the liver fibrosis non-invasive device programme, covering model refinement and regulatory filings. A $1.4 million working capital buffer was also established for contract timing and potential bolt-on acquisitions.

Resonance Health CEO & Managing Director, Mr Andrew Harrison, commented on the strong shareholder support as “a clear endorsement of our strategy,” noting it strengthens “an already profitable, cash-generative business.” He highlighted that the placement fully funds growth programmes, driven by the significant tailwind of GLP-1, metabolic, and obesity trials, which increases demand for the company’s imaging endpoints and clinical trial sites.
