Oil and gas exploration and production company ADX Energy Ltd details its financial movements, maintaining cash reserves amidst operational and investment outlays.

ADX ENERGY LTD (ASX: ADX) has released its Appendix 5B quarterly cash flow report for the period ending 30 September 2026. The Vienna-based energy company, primarily focused on oil and gas exploration and production, concluded the quarter with cash and cash equivalents of $2.254 million, a modest increase from the $2.196 million held at the start of the period. This positive shift was primarily attributed to financing activities, which offset negative cash flows from operational and investing expenditures.

During the September quarter, ADX recorded net cash used in operating activities of $758,000. Significant outflows included $2.181 million for production costs, $1.143 million for staff expenses, and $233,000 allocated to exploration and evaluation activities. Investing activities also saw a net cash outflow, amounting to $2.409 million. This was largely driven by expenditures of $2.259 million for property, plant, and equipment, including wells, alongside $150,000 for capitalised exploration and evaluation efforts.

The company’s cash position was significantly bolstered by net cash from financing activities, which generated an inflow of $3.267 million for the quarter. This was predominantly a result of $3.585 million received from issues of equity securities. ADX also noted its existing unsecured loan notes totalling $750,000, which are fully drawn, carrying interest rates of 10% and 14% per annum, and are repayable by 30 September 2027. Based on its current relevant outgoings, ADX estimates its available funding provides approximately 2.97 quarters of runway.
