WIN Metals (ASX: WIN) is progressing plans to restart its high-grade Radio Gold Mine near Southern Cross in Western Australia, while expanding its gold portfolio across the state. Presenting at ShareCafe’s Uncovering Hidden Gems investor webinar, Managing Director and CEO Steve Norregaard outlined the company’s transition towards gold production, supported by existing mining infrastructure, recent acquisitions and a completed restart study. The Radio Gold Project Re-Start Study forecasts approximately 20,200 ounces of recovered gold over 29 months, with a pre-tax net present value (NPV8%) of A$18 million, an internal rate of return of 84% and an estimated payback period of 11 months from first gold, based on a gold price of A$6,000 per ounce. These preliminary estimates remain subject to approvals, funding and a final investment decision. Norregaard highlighted the project’s existing underground development, processing infrastructure and metallurgical test results, alongside plans to expand the operation through nearby deposits, including Princess Royal and Stumpy Doodle.

WIN Metals is also advancing its Butchers Creek Gold Project in the Kimberley, which hosts a 359,000-ounce Mineral Resource, while assessing newly acquired gold rights at its Mt Edwards Project following a A$9.05 million transaction with Astral Resources. The company retains exposure to nickel and lithium, with recent metallurgical testwork also identifying potential rubidium recovery at its Faraday Critical Minerals Project. Norregaard said the immediate priority is progressing Radio towards production, with further drilling and resource growth opportunities supporting the company’s longer-term development strategy.
