Golden Dragon Mining Reports High-Grade Gold Assays from Coodardy and Behring Bore Prospects

Golden Dragon Mining Ltd. (ASX: GDR), a mineral exploration company focused on discovering and developing gold resources, has provided an update on its exploration activities at the Coodardy and Behring Bore Prospects. The company announced that previously reported intersections within an interpreted northeast-trending high-grade shoot at the Coodardy Prospect have undergone resampling and re-assaying at 1-metre intervals. These detailed assays further define the high-grade nature of the mineralisation, with standout results including 6 metres at 5.02 grams per tonne gold from 28 metres (including 1 metre at 28.10 grams per tonne gold), and 11 metres at 6.42 grams per tonne gold from 45 metres (including 1 metre at 59.20 grams per tonne gold).

At the Behring Bore Prospect, gold mineralisation is hosted within the upper portion of an altered, pyritic quartz dolerite, a geological formation recognised for hosting significant gold mineralisation in Western Australia. The consistent association of gold with this dolerite at Behring Bore indicates the potential for a larger mineralised system. A follow-up three-hole, 314-metre RC drilling program was conducted to test the dolerite at depth. This program targeted moderately east-dipping, gold lode-style mineralisation within the altered, pyritic dolerite, alongside newly identified northeast-trending high-grade quartz veins.

The drilling at Behring Bore successfully intersected significant gold mineralisation at depth within the altered, pyritic dolerite. Gold mineralisation is preferentially associated with zones of increased alteration and sulphide intensity, with the highest-grade mineralisation occurring where alteration, quartz veining, and sulphide abundance were most pronounced. This relationship identifies increasing alteration and sulphide intensity as important geological vectors for further exploration, reinforcing the dolerite as a key host and control on mineralisation. The broad mineralised zones, discrete high-grade quartz-vein shoots, and increasing strike extent further support a structurally controlled gold system, with the northeast-trending high-grade orientation remaining a priority target.
