OzAurum Resources Ltd (ASX: OZM) is a Western Australian explorer focused on making significant discoveries. The company holds advanced gold projects located 130 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie, among others. OzAurum has announced a significant increase in the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its 100% owned Mulgabbie North Gold Project, reporting a Maiden JORC (2012) MRE for its Cross Fault Deposit. This deposit is located approximately 135 kilometres north-east of Kalgoorlie, WA, and the new estimate elevates the project’s total Mineral Resource to an approximate 294,000 ounces of gold.
The Cross Fault Deposit’s maiden resource stands at 933,000 tonnes grading 1.14 grams per tonne gold for 34,000 ounces. This addition represents a crucial step in OzAurum’s strategy, with the Cross Fault resource now slated for incorporation into the ongoing Mulgabbie North heap leach Scoping Study. This study aims to advance a low-capex development approach for the project. Andrew Pumphrey, CEO and Managing Director, commented on the robust increase, expressing confidence in moving forward with the project and its inclusion in further technical works.
OzAurum also highlighted that mineralisation at Cross Fault remains open at depth and along strike to the north, identifying depth extensions as high-priority drill targets for future exploration. The Cross Fault deposit forms part of a district-scale corridor along the 7.5-kilometre Relief Shear, which includes other gold prospects. Its strategic location, approximately 3.5 kilometres east of Northern Star’s 4.0Mtpa Carosue Dam mill, offers potential advantages regarding existing processing infrastructure and established road access within a prolific gold region.
