Cambium Bio advances dry eye treatment towards pivotal Phase 3 trial

CEO Karolis Rosickas outlines the development of Elate Ocular and the company’s pathway towards a planned Phase 3 trial.
Cambium Bio (ASX: CMB) is advancing Elate Ocular®, its lead biologic candidate for dry eye disease, towards a pivotal Phase 3 trial. The treatment is based on the company’s proprietary fibrinogen-depleted human platelet lysate platform and has received FDA Fast Track designation.
The planned CAMOMILE-2 study will enrol 515 patients with moderate to severe dry eye across Australia and the United States, with co-primary endpoints assessing corneal staining and eye discomfort. Cambium is targeting first patient enrolment in Q4 2026, followed by topline Phase 3 data in Q4 2027 and a Biologics License Application submission in mid-2028.
