CFO Frances Summerhayes highlights robust financial health, disciplined allocation, and strategic growth for FY27 outlook.

Evolution Mining (ASX: EVN) today, 15 September 2026, unveiled an update on its capital management strategy, underscoring a strong financial position and robust shareholder returns. Evolution Mining is a leading Australian gold producer and a significant copper producer, operating five mines across Australia and North America. Chief Financial Officer Frances Summerhayes highlighted the company’s superior cash generation, disciplined capital allocation, and a resilient balance sheet designed to navigate market fluctuations.

The company reported achieving a net cash position of $849 million in FY26, reflecting rapid deleveraging, driven by its high-margin portfolio which saw a Group underlying EBITDA margin of 67% in FY26. Evolution maintains strong liquidity of $1.9 billion at June 2026, with no major debt repayments until FY29 and low fixed debt costs of 4.47%. Shareholder rewards remain a core focus, with a record final fully franked dividend of 21 cents per share (up 62%) and an annual total of 41 cents per share, amounting to $833 million. The company’s dividend policy targets a 60% payout of annual Group cash flow.

Evolution is actively pursuing strategic growth, evidenced by the proposed acquisition of Carnaby Resources (subject to conditions), the amendment of the Triple Flag Agreement for Northparkes, and an investment in Arizona Gold & Silver Inc. Organic growth projects are also progressing at assets including Cowal, Northparkes, Ernest Henry, and Mungari. For FY27, the company forecasts gold production of 660,000 to 730,000 ounces and copper production of 63,000 to 70,000 tonnes. All-in Sustaining Costs (AISC) are projected to be between $1,795 and $1,995 per ounce, based on assumed gold and copper prices of A$5,700/oz and A$18,000/t respectively, reflecting planned mine development and project ramp-ups.
