ActivEX Limited (ASX: AIV), a gold and critical minerals explorer focused on projects in Queensland, announced on 8 September 2026 promising initial rare earth element (REE) results from surficial geochemical sampling at its Aramac Project. The company, which specialises in the identification and development of mineral resources, completed a grid-based soil sampling program in August, utilising a handheld pXRF for initial analysis. This preliminary phase identified significant rare earth element anomalism, with 28 soil samples recording Total Rare Earth Elements (TREE = Ce+Pr+Nd+Y+La) exceeding 1,000 parts per million (ppm) and reaching a maximum of 1,490 ppm.
The exploration work focused on an 8-kilometre trend to explore for extensions of the “Goethitic Gossan” at the Dunns Road Prospect. Managing Director Mark Derriman noted the excitement surrounding these initial results, marking the first major surficial geochemical exploration since the tenement’s granting. Derriman stated that the company shifted its exploration strategy to focus on extensions of the Goethitic Gossan after initial scarp scanning yielded lower REE results. Further areas of Goethitic Gossan were also located during the soil sampling. It is important to note that all soil samples will now be sent to ALS in Townsville for comprehensive laboratory assay, as pXRF results are considered preliminary and subject to confirmation.
Looking ahead, ActivEX has outlined an aggressive exploration plan for 2026/2027. This includes further surficial geochemical exploration along the entire 55-kilometre strike extent of the prominent north-south scarp, alongside targeted geological and regolith mapping. The company also plans a drone magnetic survey along the scarp’s base, specifically targeting the Goethitic Gossan trend. The exploration program will culminate in aircore drilling of the elevated REE trend at the base of the scarp, with some deeper drilling planned in the vicinity of the Goethitic Gossan.
