Grant of E38/4002 solidifies tenure over 5km Bloodwood gold anomaly in Western Australia.

Dundas Minerals Limited (ASX: DUN), an Australian gold exploration company focused on advancing gold exploration assets across both established mining districts and under-explored frontier regions, announced on 1 September 2026 the grant of Exploration Licence E38/4002. This significant development secures the entirety of the 5-kilometre Bloodwood priority gold anomaly within the company’s Romano Project, located in Western Australia’s north-eastern Goldfields. Granted on 18 August 2026, the licence spans approximately 270 square kilometres and is the largest single tenement in the Romano Project.

The Bloodwood prospect is considered the Romano Project’s most advanced target, underpinned by promising historical drilling results. Previous air core drilling at the site returned intercepts such as 12 metres at 3.31 grams per tonne gold from 20 metres, including a higher-grade section of 4 metres at 9.53 grams per tonne gold. Subsequent diamond drilling confirmed primary gold mineralisation at depth, with an intercept of 2.95 metres at 1.95 grams per tonne gold from 113.45 metres, including 1.7 metres at 3.29 grams per tonne gold. Bloodwood is strategically located on the Yamarna Shear Zone corridor, approximately 20 kilometres north of the Golden Highway gold deposits and 35 kilometres northwest of the 6.05-million-ounce Gruyere gold mine.

Dundas Managing Director Jonathan Downes highlighted the anomaly’s potential, noting that previous drilling was shallow and wide-spaced, suggesting significant untested depth and strike extensions. He emphasised that securing this licence is a crucial first step, with native title and heritage approvals now immediate priorities before ground-disturbing work commences. The grant of E38/4002 also triggers a milestone payment to Cazaly Resources Limited (ASX: CAZ) of $150,000 in cash and $150,000 in Dundas shares, subject to shareholder approval. Dundas cautions that proximity to other mines is not indicative of mineralisation within the Romano Project, and no Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves have been estimated.
