SenSen Networks Limited (ASX: SNS), a leading Physical AI company whose flagship SenDISA platform transforms data from multiple sensing technologies into actionable intelligence, court-grade evidence, and automated operational workflows, has announced a significant contract win with the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Victoria. The South Melbourne-based company will undertake a two-year, $889,000 contract to trial an intelligent vehicle noise enforcement solution. This agreement marks the first time SenDISA will be extended into environmental enforcement, opening a new global market segment for the company.
Under the terms of the contract, SenSen will deploy seven acoustic enforcement cameras across designated noisy vehicle hotspots within Victoria. Councils including Port Phillip, Casey, Knox, and Stonnington have been selected for the initial phase, where four cameras will be installed. These roadside acoustic cameras are designed to detect excessively noisy vehicles and capture their registration details, enabling EPA Victoria to issue notices requiring vehicle owners to submit for noise testing. Failure to comply or bring vehicles into compliance could result in substantial fines. The contract value of approximately $889,000 is expected to see $787,000 recognised as revenue in FY27.
This trial represents one of the largest acoustic camera enforcement deployments in the Southern Hemisphere and showcases SenDISA’s sensor-agnostic architecture. The platform will integrate Class 1 acoustic sensing alongside existing capabilities such as computer vision, ANPR, GPS, RFID, and LiDAR. Automated vehicle noise enforcement is an emerging global market, with regulators in regions like New York City, London, and France already implementing or legislating similar systems.
