Metallium Limited Bolsters Leadership Team with Key Board and Executive Appointments

ASX-listed critical minerals innovator strengthens governance and operational capability for Flash Joule Heating technology commercialisation.

Perth, Western Australia – Metallium Limited (ASX: MTM), pioneering low-carbon, high-efficiency recovery of critical and precious metals from mineral concentrates and waste streams, has announced significant Board and executive leadership appointments. The company’s patented Flash Joule Heating (FJH) technology extracts high-value materials such as rare earth elements and gold. These strategic changes aim to strengthen Metallium’s governance, financial capability, and operational leadership as it advances commercialisation of its platform.

The company has appointed Mr Josh Hawes and Ms Kellie Benda as independent Non-Executive Directors. Mr Hawes brings expertise in critical minerals, capital markets, and advanced technologies. Ms Benda, an experienced Non-Executive Director and former investment banker, offers deep expertise in capital markets, investment, and governance, holding roles on the Foreign Investment Review Board and National Reconstruction Fund Corporation. These appointments enhance Board capabilities across critical minerals, US industry, and strategic finance.

Metallium further bolstered its team with Eric Goldstein appointed to its Advisory Board, leveraging his extensive capital markets and investor relations experience. Mr Matthew Trauber joins as Chief Financial Officer – USA, based in Houston, with significant investment origination and energy transition experience. Promoting Mr Ibrahim Ayoub to Chief Operating Officer (COO), Metallium recognises his pivotal role in advancing its FJH technology; he will lead day-to-day operations and technology commercialisation in its growing US platform.

Managing Director and CEO Michael Walshe stated these appointments represent an important step in building a world-class leadership team for Metallium’s next phase of growth. He noted the new members bring exceptional governance, capital markets, and strategic industry expertise, broadening the leadership team’s depth and capability as Metallium scales its US operations and progresses towards commercialisation.
