ASQ reports progress at White Swan Kaolin Project, silica, and gold tenements, with asset sale planned for funding.

Australian Silica Quartz Group Limited (ASX: ASQ) has released its September 2026 quarterly report, highlighting significant progress at its White Swan Kaolin Project in Western Australia. ASQ is an ASX-listed mineral exploration company focused on developing high-grade silica, kaolin, and gold projects. The company continued development of White Swan following the acquisition of Australian Kaolin Pty Ltd in July 2026. This project near Esperance, WA, holds an inferred 47 million tonne (Mt) kaolin resource under JORC 2012 and has an approved Mining Development and Closure Proposal for a 250,000 tonne per annum direct shipping ore (DSO) operation.

Key operational advancements at White Swan include the completion of a ~200-tonne bulk sample, with 50 tonnes bagged for imminent shipment to prospective customers in China. ASQ is actively progressing discussions with multiple potential clients, aiming for non-binding Memorandums of Understanding for bulk kaolin export via Esperance Port. Jamie Cullen joined the ASQ board, while kaolin specialist James Marsh remains on the Australian Kaolin Pty Ltd board. Elsewhere, ASQ continued exploration for metallurgical grade silicon quartz in North Queensland, advanced metallurgical trials for high purity quartz production, and progressed gold exploration at the Koolyanobbing Metals Project, with sampling results pending.

Financially, ASQ reported cash reserves of $0.91 million at 30 September 2026, with no debt. The company holds an unencumbered rural property in Bindoon, Western Australia, valued at $2.5 million in 2024. This subdivided property is listed for sale, with proceeds earmarked to fund future work programs and development. The quarter saw $256,000 allocated to exploration and evaluation and $298,000 to administrative costs. With estimated funding for approximately 1.7 quarters, ASQ’s board anticipates the property sale will provide the necessary capital to sustain operations and achieve business objectives, as it focuses on securing kaolin offtake partners and a joint venture partner for its gold prospects.
