Wells Fargo, a diversified financial services company that provides banking, investment, mortgage, and consumer and commercial finance products and services, announced a significant leadership transition on Monday. John Manning, Executive Vice President and head of commercial banking market coverage, is slated to retire at the end of the year, concluding more than three decades of service with the bank. His career in financial services spans over 40 years, according to the financial institution.

Rob Biodrowski, who is based in Chicago, will step into Manning’s role as head of commercial banking market coverage, with his tenure commencing in November. Biodrowski currently holds the position of division executive for the U.S. Midwest within Wells Fargo commercial banking. He possesses extensive financial services experience, having accumulated over 20 years in leadership capacities across both commercial and investment banking.

In his new leadership capacity, Mr Biodrowski will oversee a substantial team of over 2,000 bankers dedicated to serving a broad client base across the United States and Canada. The commercial banking market coverage unit, which he will lead, typically caters to companies with annual revenues between $25 million and $2 billion, operating across diverse industries and sectors. Expressing his outlook, Mr Biodrowski remarked, “I’m honoured to take on this role and build upon the strong foundation John and our teams have created.”
