Pathkey.AI Ltd (ASX: PKY), an Australian technology company focused on developing proprietary AI-powered large language model solutions for data intensive industries, has announced the formation of an Advisory Board to support the build-out and commercialisation of its Chipforge platform. The company’s platforms, TrialKey and Chipforge, leverage an agent-based AI architecture for complex design optimisation. The inaugural appointment to this new board is Professor Anupam Chattopadhyay of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), a global leader in Artificial Intelligence. This strategic move aims to accelerate the development and market entry of Chipforge, an AI-native semiconductor design platform recently acquired and integrated into the Pathkey.AI group.

Professor Chattopadhyay brings extensive expertise, having been integral to the development and testing of Chipforge’s early-stage technology. His academic research previously led to a chip-design tool, LISATek, which was spun out and acquired by CoWare, later becoming part of Synopsys, a major chip design software company. This background provides him with a rare combination of skills in both chip design and AI, positioning him to guide Chipforge’s product development effectively.

Chipforge is designed to transform a description of a chip’s requirements into verified, working hardware code, targeting a substantial reduction in the time and cost associated with custom chip development. Pathkey.AI CEO Andrew Farnsworth commented that Professor Chattopadhyay has been part of Chipforge’s development from the start, and his appointment formalises this crucial relationship. Professor Chattopadhyay himself expressed excitement about helping to bring Chipforge’s practical, performance-driven approach to a significant industry.

The appointment of Professor Chattopadhyay complements the recent addition of Sam Weiss as Strategic Advisor, who previously chaired Altium. Pathkey.AI intends to appoint further members to the Advisory Board in the coming months, with remuneration for board members provided via performance rights.
