Paradigm Biopharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: PAR) has released its Appendix 4E Preliminary Final Report for the year ended 30 June 2026, marking a period of significant operational progress alongside a widened net loss. Paradigm Biopharmaceuticals Limited, a late-stage clinical development company focused on improving patient health through pharmaceutical therapies, reported revenue from continuing activities of $8,127,811, an increase of 14.39% from the previous year. However, the company’s net loss attributable to members escalated to $56,331,246, a 200.10% increase from the prior period’s $18,770,745 loss. Basic and diluted loss per share stood at 17.91 cents, compared to 5.97 cents in the previous corresponding period.
A key operational highlight for FY2026 was the successful completion of patient recruitment for Paradigm’s global Phase 3 PARA_OA_012 study of Zilosul® for osteoarthritis. The trial enrolled 538 participants across 57 clinical sites spanning the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, and Moldova, exceeding its initial target. Independent Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) reviews throughout the year confirmed no material safety concerns, endorsing the study’s continued progression. With recruitment finalised, the company’s strategic focus is now on clinical evidence generation, anticipating an Interim Analysis and subsequent primary endpoint top-line readout as crucial next steps.
Financially, Paradigm bolstered its capital, raising approximately A$21.74 million through an institutional Placement and a Share Purchase Plan. This was supplemented by a US$27.0 million Convertible Note Facility, with US$7.0 million remaining undrawn after a Tranche 4 drawdown. An A$5.5 million R&D Tax Incentive refund is also expected in the upcoming quarter. These funding initiatives provide certainty as Paradigm advances Zilosul® towards regulatory submissions and potential commercialisation, while also exploring opportunities for Pentacoxib® and other research into pentosan polysulfate. The company remains focused on delivering upcoming clinical, regulatory, and commercial milestones.
