Fast-tracked mine restart study underway at Lightning Peak within the Thunder Mountain Gold-Silver Project, Idaho

Pinnacle Minerals Ltd (ASX:PIM) has announced the commencement of an initial mine restart exploration program at its Thunder Mountain Gold and Antimony Project in Valley County, Idaho, USA. Pinnacle Minerals is a technology minerals exploration company focused on creating shareholder value through the discovery and development of high-quality battery and critical minerals projects in the United States, Canada, Western Australia, and South Australia. The Thunder Mountain claims cover approximately 368 hectares and encompass a historically productive gold and silver district.

The company has initiated a fast-tracked mine restart study, focusing on the historic Lightning Peak Open Pit. The program includes continued on-ground mapping and sampling to identify mineralisation, a review of historical rock chip and channel samples to validate existing data, and processing of airborne magnetic and satellite datasets to pinpoint structural controls and define new drill targets. US consultants have been engaged and local authorities are establishing a pathway for drill permitting and mine redevelopment.

Executive Chairman William Witham stated that the work at Thunder Mountain represents an opportunity to revive historic U.S. gold and silver mines using modern exploration and technology. He noted that the verification of historical workings and confirmation of mineralisation reinforce the quality of the asset and highlight its strong potential. Assay results from rock chip and channel sampling are expected in the coming weeks and will contribute to pit modelling and restart studies.

Geophysical and remote sensing work is currently underway, including the analysis of airborne magnetic data and satellite multispectral imagery. This work will support the definition of priority drill targets and the commencement of drill permitting in the area, which is located near Perpetua Resources’ Stibnite Project.
