Koonenberry Gold Expands NSW Exploration

Extensive gold mineralisation identified at Enmore project, multiple drill targets planned

Koonenberry Gold (ASX: KNB) is set to broaden its exploration efforts at the Enmore gold project in New South Wales, following the discovery of significant gold mineralisation from the surface and high-grade gold intervals at greater depths. Koonenberry Gold is an Australian exploration company focused on discovering and developing gold and base metal deposits. The company’s primary focus is on its portfolio of projects in the Koonenberry Belt of western New South Wales, Australia.

The recent campaign identified a substantial gold-in-soil anomaly, stretching approximately 950 metres in length and 300 metres in width. This anomaly underscores the potential of the broader Enmore project, extending beyond the known mineralisation at the main Sunnyside site. Rock chip assays from the target returned high values, including 14.05 grams per tonne, 11.09g/t, and 8.77g/t.

Koonenberry has pinpointed several drill targets for upcoming drilling, slated to commence by the end of August. The follow-up drilling aims to assess the continuity and extensions of mineralisation at Sunnyside. It will also involve discovery and growth drilling along the Sunnyside shear zone. Furthermore, the company intends to investigate an area to the east, where it has identified a target with a strike length of about 2km. Additional soil sampling is planned along the Sunnyside shear zone, Borah fault, and other promising targets.

During the June quarter, drilling, soil, and rock chip sampling programs at Enmore were central to Koonenberry’s activities. The company completed 10 diamond drilling holes at Sunnyside, covering 3,042 metres. As of June 30, Koonenberry holds a robust cash balance of $8.7 million with no debt, positioning it well to advance prospects to drill-ready status throughout 2025 and into 2026.
