New lode discovery enhances gold endowment in Western Australia's Goldfields

Gorilla Gold Mines (ASX: GG8) has announced a new footwall lode discovery at its Mulwarrie gold project in Western Australia’s Goldfields region, significantly extending the project’s potential. Gorilla Gold Mines is an Australian exploration company focused on discovering and developing gold resources. The company’s primary projects are located in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia.

The company is preparing to release a mineral resource estimate for Mulwarrie in the coming weeks. Recent drilling has yielded significant high-grade assay results, targeting both down-dip extensions and shallow in-fill of existing mineralisation at the project. Highlight hits from the new drilling included 9m at 4.9 grams per tonne gold from 253m and 8m at 4.7g/t from 33m. The company is awaiting results from the remaining drill holes from the maiden program at Mulwarrie, which is located 60 kilometres from Gorilla’s Comet Vale project and near several operating gold processing facilities north of Kalgoorlie.

According to chief executive officer Charles Hughes, the ongoing discovery of new lodes highlights the substantial gold endowment of the Mulwarrie system, which includes multiple stacked lodes across a 2.5km strike. Mr. Hughes noted that Mulwarrie is delivering impressive results, confirming its potential as a large, high-grade, multi-lode gold deposit starting from the surface. Mineralisation has now been intersected in multiple lodes over a zone more than 200m wide and up to 400m below the surface.

Earlier in the month, Gorilla also reported drilling success at its Comet Vale project, situated 97km north of Kalgoorlie. Encouraging new results from exploration and growth drilling at the King Kong prospect, part of the Lakeview discovery at Comet Vale, have been received. Gorilla is rapidly advancing its exploration and growth strategy at Comet Vale and anticipates having up to five rigs operating at the site in the coming months.
