Warriedar Resources (ASX: WA8) has reported encouraging antimony and gold finds from recent drilling at its Golden Range project in Western Australia’s Murchison region. Warriedar Resources is focused on the discovery, development, and production of strategic metals. The company aims to create shareholder value through exploration and resource development.
The positive results come from the company’s first full-hole diamond drill assays and a laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy assessment at the Ardmore end of the Ricciardo gold-antimony deposit. One new hole intersected multiple significant zones, including 24 metres at 0.99% antimony and 1.55 grams per tonne gold (3.65 g/t gold equivalent) from 170m, and 12m at 0.33% antimony and 1.50g/t gold (2.2 g/t gold equivalent) from 256m, including 1m at 2.64% antimony and 0.39g/t gold from 267m.
CEO Amanda Buckingham highlighted the consistency of the antimony zones and the down-plunge continuity of the high-grade shoots at Ardmore. She noted that the results demonstrate the attractiveness of the Ricciardo deposit, with multiple zones containing wide intervals of high-grade antimony and gold, with conventional stibnite as the dominant antimony mineral. The Ricciardo gold-antimony system stretches approximately 2.3km, with limited prior drilling below 100m depth before Warriedar’s involvement.
The deposit is located within the Golden Range group of historic open-pit mines, about 8km south of the Golden Range processing plant. Nearby operations and projects include Capricorn Metals’ Mt Gibson gold project, the Golden Grove processing facility, and Vault Minerals’ Rothsay gold mine. Warriedar plans to assess the new results to guide further drilling at Ardmore, seeking to unlock the broader potential of high-grade gold and antimony mineralisation at Ricciardo.
