Mining permit decision expected late 2025; resource update by Q3 2026.

Siren Gold (ASX:SNG) is advancing its Sams Creek Gold Project towards potential development, with a key mining permit decision anticipated by late 2025. The company has lodged its application in March 2025, and it is currently under assessment by New Zealand Petroleum & Minerals. Siren Gold, which has a market capitalisation of $10.72 million, considers this permit a critical step in transitioning from exploration to mining at the site, located 140km northeast of Reefton.

Siren Gold is a mineral explorer focused on gold and antimony discoveries in New Zealand’s Reefton Goldfield. The company plans to update the resource estimate for Sams Creek and complete an accompanying scoping study by the third quarter of 2026. Over the next 15 months, the company intends to undertake an infill drilling program on the Main Zone shoot to convert most of the inferred resource to indicated, alongside exploration drilling on the Doyles shoot by the second quarter of 2026.

Interim Managing Director Brian Rodan stated that Sams Creek has the potential to become a “very large and extensive high-grade” gold system. He emphasised that the possibility of accessing additional mineralisation from the proposed centralised development creates a compelling case for scale, efficiency, and low operating costs. The Sams Creek Project is a joint venture between Siren Gold and Ocean Gold (TSX:OGL).

Rodan added that the company believes Sams Creek is still significantly underexplored, holding the potential to become one of New Zealand’s most promising new gold development opportunities. He cited the potential to expand the resource and improve the current proposed life of mine and project economics.
