Investors also responded to strong economic data but displayed some caution ahead of the US Federal Reserve rates decision. After releasing earnings shares in Tesla fell 4.5% with 3M down 2.6%. The Dow Jones index rose by 3 points or less than 0.1%. The S&P 500 index fell by just 0.9 points from record highs. And the Nasdaq index fell by 48.5 points or 0.3% from record highs.
