SportsHero Limited (ASX: SHO), a company focused on mobile gaming and social prediction platforms, has announced an agreement with V Hunt Digital Media Pvt Ltd (V-Hunt) to distribute a range of instantly playable HTML5 hyper casual mobile games throughout Southeast Asia. This deal significantly increases SportsHero’s mobile game portfolio, adding approximately 600 games to its existing catalogue. The company believes this expansion creates one of the largest hybrid subscription mobile game offerings in emerging markets, combining premium and instant-play titles.
The agreement leverages the HTML5 “zero download” format, which SportsHero believes will reduce friction and data usage for end-users. This is particularly important in emerging markets where handsets often have limited data storage. The company expects that the addition of these games will provide a competitive advantage in the Southeast Asian market, which will be progressively rolled out through its distribution channels. In September, SportsHero announced that Indosat will offer its customers access to the company’s mobile gaming product via Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) throughout Indonesia, expected to launch in the December quarter.
Tom Lapping, SportsHero’s CEO, stated that the V-Hunt catalogue has a proven commercial success with blue-chip telecommunications partners in developed gaming markets globally, making them a perfect addition to the premium gaming titles announced in August. According to the company, Southeast Asia surpassed 1.9 billion game downloads in the first quarter of 2025, ranking as the second-largest mobile gaming market globally, with Indonesia leading in download volumes.
The monthly fixed fee associated with the agreement is not considered material to SportsHero, and the agreement contains standard terms and conditions. V Hunt Digital Media, founded in 2012, is a technology-driven content company specializing in dynamic digital solutions, including content creation, digital marketing, and product development.
