Estrella Resources Limited (ASX: ESR), a company focused on resource exploration, is pleased to announce continued success in extending the strike length of manganese mineralisation at its Ira Miri prospect within the Lautém Manganese Project in Timor-Leste. Estrella Resources is dedicated to identifying and developing mineral deposits, creating value for shareholders through strategic exploration and resource management. Step-out drilling has expanded the mineralised zone to nearly 100 metres, remaining open to the northeast and southwest.
Recent drilling highlights include EMDD040, which intersected 5.9 metres of 90% secondary supergene manganese oxides from 11.5 metres, and EMDD039, which intersected 3.9 metres of 90% secondary supergene manganese oxides from 10.0 metres. Additionally, EMDD038 intersected 8.0 metres of 40% secondary supergene manganese oxides from 4 metres. Further intersections revealed primary manganese oxides in other drillholes, contributing to the growing understanding of the deposit’s geology.
In addition to drilling, Estrella Resources has completed LiDAR and DroneMag surveys at Ira Miri, with an extensive MobileMT survey scheduled for late November. Results from a LiDAR survey at the Werumata project have been received, and a bathymetric survey of the potential port area has commenced. Road access and drill pads at Werumata are complete, awaiting the arrival of the drill rig.
Managing Director Chris Daws commented on the exploration activities, highlighting the exciting opportunity in Timor-Leste and expressing confidence in the team’s ability to unlock a new manganese province. Drilling at Werumata is expected to commence within a week, targeting large-scale calcite mineralisation. The company will continue to update shareholders as the project progresses.
