ASX-listed company resets DFS to maximise value from higher silver prices and secured water supply

Investigator Resources Limited (ASX: IVR) has announced a strategic refocus on precious metals, with silver at the centre of its strategy. Investigator Resources is an Australian-based company focused on discovering and developing high-quality mineral deposits. Their primary asset is the Paris Silver Project located on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. The company is resetting its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for the Paris Silver Project to capture value from higher silver prices and the security of a confirmed water source. This reset includes plans for a larger pit, a wet Tailings Storage Facility (TSF), value-engineering of the flowsheet, and finance-first throughput optimisation, all aimed at accelerating the path to first silver production.

Engagement with the South Australian Government regarding the Mining Lease Application has commenced, with studies scoped to align with regulatory needs and fast-track approvals alongside the DFS. Exploration work across the 15km Paris Corridor continues to highlight district-scale silver potential, with Athena emerging as a high-priority, underexplored target. Drilling at the Curnamona gold-copper project is scheduled to commence in October, testing strong geophysical and geochemical anomalies. The company is also actively assessing opportunities to secure a second precious metals asset to enhance scale and relevance.

The Paris DFS reset is focused on expanding the pit shell, implementing a wet TSF, value engineering the process flowsheet, right-sizing throughput through a financing lens, and accelerating the pathway to first production, targeted for the first half of CY2026. The move to a wet TSF is considered a step-change improvement, expected to materially lower capital and operating costs while reducing risk. Investigator is streamlining its portfolio by divesting non-core assets to ensure capital is directed towards its precious metal strategy.

Managing Director, Lachlan Wallace, will host a webinar on Thursday 11 September to provide further detail on the strategy update and the Paris DFS reset, and to address investor questions.
