Positive metallurgical results advance Comet Vale Gold Project resource estimate for Q4 2025.

Gorilla Gold Mines (ASX:GG8) has reported a total gold recovery of 97.5% from a sample at its Lakeview prospect. This result supports the company’s efforts toward a maiden resource estimate for the Comet Vale Gold Project in Western Australia’s Goldfields region, expected in Q4 2025. Gorilla Gold Mines is focused on exploring and developing gold projects in Western Australia. The company aims to create shareholder value through discovery and responsible mining practices.

The metallurgical testing showed a 55% gold recovery from gravity extraction of sample CVMET_001. An additional 24-hour cyanide leach, using a head grade of 4.8 grams per tonne of gold, resulted in a 94.5% recovery within two hours. Gorilla Gold intends to continue its focus on metallurgical testing, with a program now targeting mineralisation across the remaining Lakeview prospect, as well as the Cheer and Sovereign North prospects.

The company has deployed three diamond drill rigs to the King Kong Lode of Lakeview, aiming to extend mineralisation down dip from the central zone. Two reverse circulation rigs are also exploring the Silverback trend, which includes the Cheer and Happy Jack prospects. CEO Charles Hughes described the recent discovery at Lakeview as a “game changer”.

Hughes noted that the exploration efforts are supported by exceptionally positive initial metallurgical test work results, confirming that the gold can be extracted using conventional gold milling processes commonly used in Western Australia. With historical production of 200,000 ounces at 20g/t gold, Comet Vale is located approximately 97km north of Kalgoorlie and contains several mining leases. The company also anticipates results from extensional diamond drilling outside the resource area at the Mulwarrie Project in the Eastern Goldfields.
