Marble Bar project yields promising results, maiden drilling program nears completion

Kali Metals (ASX: KM1) has announced the discovery of a new high-grade gold prospect at its Marble Bar project, located in the northern region of Western Australia. Kali Metals is an exploration company focused on critical metals and gold. It aims to create shareholder value through discovery and strategic project development in favourable jurisdictions. The new prospect, named Churchill, lies between the Tiger and Sherman gold prospects previously identified within the Marble Bar area.

The Churchill prospect was identified during a recent rock-chip sampling program aimed at expanding the known mineralisation at the Tiger and Sherman prospects. The company collected 87 rock-chip samples and is awaiting remaining sampling results of 138 rock-chip samples collected over the nearby Peggy tenement in late-May and early June 2024. Highlight results to date include strike lengths of approximately 1.8 kilometres at Tiger, 700 metres at Sherman, and 600 metres at Churchill.

Kali Metals is now planning further exploration at two new alteration zones located south-east of the Sherman prospect, which returned grades of up to 1.8 grams per tonne and 1.7 grams per tonne gold in the same sampling program. Prior to Kali Metals’ acquisition of the Marble Bar tenements in January 2024, exploration in the area primarily focused on lithium mineralisation. The Marble Bar project covers 96 square kilometres and is situated approximately 10 kilometres north of the Klondyke gold project.

Managing director Paul Adams stated that the team has identified three prospects with high-grade rock chip results over a combined surface outcrop of approximately 3km. He added that this achievement significantly enhances the project’s drill-testing potential, with the company now entering the next phase of exploration. Planned activities at the site include a drone survey, reconnaissance, rock-chip sampling, drilling design, and program of work submissions.
