Many Peaks Minerals (ASX: MPK) has announced positive results from seven additional diamond drill holes at its Ferké gold project in Côte d’Ivoire. These results confirm extensions to mineralisation along strike and at depth. Many Peaks Minerals is focused on gold and lithium exploration in Côte d’Ivoire and Australia. The company aims to create shareholder value through the discovery of world-class mineral deposits.
Since drilling commenced at the Ouarigue prospect in April, the company has completed 41 holes, totalling 11,200 metres. The latest holes, spanning over 300m of strike extent, have returned significant intercepts from extensional and infill work. Drilling has also intersected increasing widths of mineralised zones, reinforcing the potential for a bulk tonnage target at the project. Highlight results include 87m at 1.67 grams per tonne gold from 221m, including 29m at 3.46g/t from 224m, and 84m at 1.53g/t gold from 58m, including 2m at 18.1g/t from 83m.
Travis Schwertfeger, Managing Director, noted that the latest assays demonstrate the growing scale and continuity of the Ferké mineralised system. He highlighted that the increasing grades with depth further enhance the viability of a bulk tonnage target evolving at Ferké. One hole intersected a 95m true width zone of mineralised intrusion, a 26% increase over previous interpreted widths, strengthening the company’s geological model.
Many Peaks recently expanded its flagship project through an earn-in agreement with Ferké South owner Magic Mineral Structure SARL. This agreement will see Many Peaks commit US$400,000 in exploration expenditure over 24 months once Ferké South is granted, earning an initial 51% interest through further spending. The incorporation of Ferké South represents a substantial increase to Ferké’s mineralised corridor, expanding the overall project size and increasing Many Peaks’ equity holdings in Côte d’Ivoire.
