Maiden drilling confirms 200m strike with potential for strategic caesium discovery; assays pending

Perpetual Resources Limited (ASX:PEC), an ASX-listed company focused on exploring and developing critical minerals for global new energy requirements, has announced a significant drilling update from its Igrejinha Project in Brazil. The company reported intersecting a continuous, mineralised LCT pegmatite over 200 metres of strike at Target 1, from surface to depths exceeding 50 metres. This confirms substantial scale potential, with the pegmatite remaining open in all directions.

The drilling program, approximately 50% complete, aims to test further strike and depth potential, as well as potential parallel structures and new pegmatite discoveries in the south-east of the license area. Visual observations and pXRF readings indicate continuous mineralisation, including spodumene and potentially high-value pollucite. According to the company, this positions Igrejinha as a globally significant caesium exploration play.

Executive Chairman Julian Babarczy expressed optimism, noting the potential for a pollucite-bearing system beneath historical workings. He highlighted the strategic importance of the project, given the limited number of caesium mines globally. Initial assay results are expected in mid-July, with further batches to follow through July and August. The company also reported that a newly discovered pegmatite in the south-eastern Igrejinha license area has emerged from recent fieldwork, exhibiting over 300m of strike.

Perpetual Resources is actively exploring for lithium and other critical minerals in Brazil’s “Lithium Valley”, holding approximately 12,000 hectares of exploration permits. The company also operates the Beharra Silica Sand development project in Western Australia, and continues to seek complementary acquisition opportunities.
