Q2 Metals (TSX-V:QTWO) has announced a significant expansion of the main discovery zone at its Cisco Lithium Project in Québec, Canada. Recent drilling results have extended the zone to over 1 kilometer. The 2025 winter drilling program, comprising just under 7,000 meters across 14 holes, yielded promising results. Hole 27 showed “major” intervals of 179.6m @ 1.66% lithium oxide, 58m @ 1.75%, and 91.8m @ 1.81%. According to Q2 Metals, the combined intervals in hole 27 represent the project’s best performance in terms of grade multiplied by width.
Hole 27, a large step-out designed to test the continuity of the main mineralized zone southward, was collared 430m south of previously drilled hole 23, which had demonstrated a wide interval of 188.6m of continuous spodumene pegmatite @ 1.56% lithium oxide. The new intervals in hole 27 are located 200m south of hole 23, with mineralization remaining open to the southeast. The company is planning additional drill testing during the summer program to assess whether the 1km strike length of the main mineralized zone extends further south. A fully funded drill campaign is expected to begin in late June. Assays for the remaining 10 holes from the winter program are pending. The Cisco Project, spanning 39,389 hectares, is located in the James Bay region.
