Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT) is advancing its exploration efforts within its wholly-owned Belleterre-Angliers Greenstone Belt (BAGB) projects in Québec, Canada, with a focus on identifying gold targets at the Lorraine Mine. The Lorraine prospect, situated within the 86.5km² Lac des Bois segment, exhibits a high-grade magnetic copper-nickel extension, with defined mineralisation extending beyond 400 meters in depth. Pivotal Metals, currently holding a market capitalization of $5.44 million, has initiated fieldwork involving detailed mapping and sampling programs to delineate the gold-copper quartz veins. The company plans an aggressive summer field program, supported by a high-resolution UAV magnetic survey, to establish the continuity of the gold-copper-quartz vein system near the Lorraine mine.
Historical data reveals promising grades from sixth-level channel sampling, including 28 meters at 45.2 grams per tonne gold and 3.2% copper in an underground crosscut. Drilling has also indicated visible gold in drillholes 20-CM-01 and 20-CM-02, located 40 to 60 meters above the sixth level. The gold mineralization in the prospect demonstrates potential for a 600-meter corridor, open in all directions. Managing Director Ivan Fairhall says this work complements the company’s parallel resource growth and development activities at the Horden Lake copper-nickel-platinum group elements-gold deposit.
