Assay results expected through June 2025; drill testing scheduled H2 2025.

Lincoln Minerals (ASX:LML) has announced the identification of copper and base metal targets at its wholly-owned Minbrie Copper-Base Metals Project in South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, following recent field activities. The company expects ongoing laboratory assay results to be progressively released through June 2025. An initial 3D geological model is nearing completion to refine drill targeting, with priority drill targets expected to be finalized by late June. Drill testing is scheduled to commence in the second half of 2025.

The recent exploration campaign included relogging 1,775 meters of core, examining 28 historical drillholes, taking 620 portable x-ray fluorescence (pXRF) readings, and selecting 224 core intervals for assay. Previous drilling in 2011 revealed unrecognised intercepts of sulphide mineralisation. The company will re-assay a total of 69 drillholes to confirm historical data and identify mineralised intervals. Drillhole BUDD192 and BURCD030 have already shown a strong lithological and stratigraphic correlation. Bornite has been identified 4m from drillhole BURCD030 in pXRF analysis, with readings returning up to 3.03% at 274m down hole, making it a priority target.

CEO Jonathon Trewartha noted that the mineral system is more complex than initially anticipated, observing clear geological zonation, evidence of multiple mineralising events, and strong structural controls. These insights are guiding the company’s strategy to advance exploration by leveraging historical data and modern analysis. Lincoln Minerals, with a market capitalisation of $10.51 million, focuses on developing its critical minerals projects in the Gawler Craton region.
