Nyobolt commits to purchasing 3,000 tonnes of Talnode-C over four years.

Talga Group (ASX: TLG) has finalized a binding offtake agreement with UK-based Nyobolt for the supply of its Talnode-C graphite anode material. Under the agreement, Nyobolt, a specialist in ultra-fast charging battery technologies, will purchase approximately 3,000 tonnes of Talnode-C over an initial four-year term starting May 13, 2025. The supply will originate from Talga’s Vittangi anode project in Sweden.

Talga’s CEO, Martin Phillips, emphasized that the agreement validates Talnode-C as a key component for fast-charging battery technology. He also noted that the European Commission has designated Talga’s graphite mine and anode refinery operations as “strategic projects”. Talnode-C is derived from high-grade natural graphite from Sweden, processed using proprietary coating methods to create a low-emission anode material powered by renewable energy. Initial supplies to Nyobolt will come from Talga’s electric vehicle anode demonstration plant in Luleå, with the remaining amounts supplied from a commercial plant planned for construction in Luleå from 2026. Nyobolt utilizes its battery systems in applications, including high-performance vehicles, AI warehouses, and data centers.

Nyobolt CEO Dr. Sai Shivareddy highlighted the collaboration with Talga as a strategic element in the company’s diversified sourcing strategy. Talga is actively working to secure additional purchase commitments for its Talnode-C production capacity to support the advancement of the Vittangi anode project.
