Critica (ASX:CRI) is making significant strides in Australia’s rare earths sector, particularly with its Jupiter deposit in Western Australia. According to Managing Director Philippa Leggat, the Jupiter deposit is now the largest and highest-grade clay-hosted rare earths resource in the country. Its strategic location near the Geraldton port and key infrastructure provides a competitive advantage. Recent metallurgical results have demonstrated up to a tenfold grade improvement with a 95% mass reduction, enhancing the economic viability of the project.
Critica has also announced five new rare earth discoveries exhibiting elevated levels of heavy rare earth elements (REEs), further expanding its resource potential. With a strong cash position of $6 million, bolstered by an Exploration Incentive Grant, the company is well-funded to pursue its development plans. The next steps include rare earth concentrate refinement and new drill programs at the Juno and Aurora prospects. These initiatives are set to solidify Critica’s position in the rare earths market, with significant developments anticipated beyond 2025.
