Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has announced positive assay results from its infill drilling program at the Orient Project in Queensland. The company anticipates confirming Orient as a leading silver-indium deposit. Drillhole ORR070 revealed a 76m zone yielding 118.5 grams per tonne silver-equivalent (Ag-Eq) from 24m, highlighting some of the thickest mineralization observed to date at Orient West. Further results from the 54-hole reverse circulation drilling program are expected in the coming months.
Managing Director Donald Garner emphasized the significance of the findings, stating that they reinforce the belief that Orient is Australia’s largest and highest-grade known silver-indium deposit. The ongoing drilling programs, including both RC and diamond drilling, aim to establish initial JORC resources for Orient East and West. Diamond drilling commenced to gather structural data and samples for metallurgical testing. The Orient deposit, located within the Herberton Project, exhibits similarities to Bolivian silver-zinc-lead-indium-silver systems.
