ASX-listed DXN enters into $3.6M deal with US satellite provider.

DXN Ltd (ASX: DXN), a modular data centre manufacturer and operator, has secured its first data centre as a service (DCaaS) agreement with a US-based global provider of satellite earth stations. The agreement, valued at approximately $3.6 million per site, covers the design, build, and deployment of prefabricated technical infrastructure at DXN’s recently acquired site in Darwin, Northern Territory. The initial purchase order has commenced, with the US-based customer indicating the potential for multiple additional sites across regional Australia.

DXN Managing Director Shalini Lagrutta emphasized the agreement aligns with the company’s strategic focus on offering managed services on edge modular prefabricated data centre sites. The contract includes an upfront fee of approximately $0.6 million for the design and build phase, followed by ongoing monthly fees for managed services. Lagrutta noted that artificial intelligence is accelerating growth in the space and satellite industry, enhancing data processing, automation, and decision-making. The agreement provides DXN with the option to renew at the end of each contract period, potentially leading to further revenue streams.
