Surefire Resources (ASX: SRN) has reported improved grades from metallurgical test work at its Victory Bore Critical Minerals Project in Western Australia, confirming higher vanadium pentoxide (V₂O₅) and iron (Fe) concentrations in bulk samples.
Results from a 700kg bulk sample show:
- Vanadium pentoxide (V₂O₅) averaging 1.489%, an improvement of 14.5%.
- Iron (Fe) averaging 61.68%, an increase of 15%.
- Titanium dioxide (TiO₂) at 18.525%, supporting further assessment of a titanium concentrate product.
Surefire’s Managing Director Paul Burton said the results reinforce Victory Bore as a world-class critical minerals deposit.
“These results confirm the high quality of Victory Bore’s magnetite concentrate, with exceptional purity and low levels of deleterious elements. The project is well-positioned to supply high-purity vanadium, iron, and titanium products to global markets, including Saudi Arabia.”
Project scale and strategic development
Victory Bore contains a JORC resource of 464Mt, with a probable ore reserve of 93.1Mt @ 0.35% V₂O₅, 5.2% TiO₂, and 19.8% Fe. The deposit remains open along strike, with drilling to date covering just 1km of a 20km mineralised trend.
Surefire plans to develop a high-grade magnetite concentrate at the mine site and transport it via Geraldton Port to Saudi Arabia, where it will be processed into vanadium pentoxide, vanadium electrolyte, high-grade iron oxide, pig iron, and titanium products.
