Morning Report: US sharemarkets rebounded on Tuesday

Most of the 11 major S&P500 sectors rose with financials up 2.4% and transport up 2%. Shares in Halliburton rose 3.7% after higher crude prices over the past quarter boosted demand for oilfield services, resulting in the second consecutive quarterly profit. Technology led the gains with Apple up 2.6%. The Dow Jones index lifted by 550 points or 1.6% after falling 726 points on Monday. The S&P 500 index rose by 1.5%. And the Nasdaq gained 224 points or 1.6%.
