ASX200 up 71 points (1.1%) to 6746.

 

  • Austal (+5.5%); has been awarded a US$235m contract by the United States Navy for the detailed design and construction of the 15th Expeditionary Fast Transport vessel.
  • Bega Cheese (+0.2); ex div 5c.  Trading up 1c.          Hmm, cheese……
  • Challenger (+1.2%); appoints Rachel Grimes as CFO.  Currently General Manager, Finance at Westpac.
  • Crown (+0.3%); Director John Poynton has resigned.
  • Evolution (-1.4%); ex div 7c.   Trading down 6c.
  • Fortescue (-5.5%); ex div 147c.   Trading down 135c.
  • GWA (+0.3%); Managing Director Tim Salt has resigned.
  • Regional Express (+3.5%); the first flight on the Sydney-Melbourne route took off today….
  • Worley (-2.3%);  ex div 25c.  Trading down 26c.

 

……..and spare a thought for Fortescue CEO Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest today.      He owns 1,122,131,637 FMG shares.   Ex div today $1.47.      I will do the maths for you — today he has earned $ 1,649,533,506.39.
