Morning Report: ASX set for lower open as Wall St ends in the red

Sellers held sway on Wall St pushing stocks to their lowest levels in a fortnight before a recovery saw losses trimmed. After being down 328 points in morning trade the Dow Jones index ended down by almost 120 points or 0.4%. The S&P 500 index fell 0.4% and the Nasdaq index lost 100 points or 0.7%.
