Chalkos Metals is actively exploring an advanced portfolio of exploration targets in the world-class North West Minerals Province in Queensland, Australia.

The Chalkos Metals tenement package includes several advanced exploration assets located adjacent to the world class Mount Isa Mine owned by Glencore, and 10km from the well serviced mining town of Mount Isa. Chalkos Metals has a clear and aggressive exploration strategy to unlock value with 7 priority prospects identified, including 13 ‘walk-up’ drill targets planned for testing in 2022.

Chalkos Metals has assembled a highly experienced local team, led by Executive Chairman Andrew Newman, ex CFO of Glencore’s QLD Metals business (Mount Isa Mines).

The Mount Isa Mines operation is one of the world largest mining complexes and is the hub of Glencore’s copper and zinc operations that comprises underground mines, mineral processing and smelting facilities, power generation and rail infrastructure through to the export hub of Townsville. Mount Isa Mines is the largest copper producer in Australia and a key asset in Glencore’s global mining portfolio.
