Our Reason For Being Wise-Owl is owned by PPS Investments Pty Ltd and was first established in 2001 under the trading name of 'Investment Wise'. With a strong team of financial experts in many fields, the original recommendations and strategies were only made available to high net worth individuals with portfolios ‘in the millions’.
The collapse of the financial markets in 2000 and 2001 saw thousands of retail investors lose their life savings and hence the owners of PPS Investments believed it was time to “empower” these retail investors with the same tools, strategies and information that only the wealthy had.
As a reuslt, over the years, Wise-Owl has developed an extensive range of investment products and services that have each been developed with one aim: to provide members with the tools that will empower them to take control of their investment destiny.
Independence is the key to good advice Wise-Owl prides itself on its independence. We do not get paid commissions, nor do we receive incentives for recommending particular stocks over others. The advice that we give is as a result of strong research, years of financial markets experience and strong criteria.
We are committed to helping our members maximise their investment portfolios. Our independence also enables us to turn our attentions to smaller stocks that would otherwise be overlooked in the media and by larger broking houses.
Combination of analysis techniques to back recommendations Using a combination of quantitative, fundamental and technical analysis techniques ensures we identify the best times to buy and sell and can back up these recommendations with strong research.
Recommendations with supporting strategy Being handed a recommendation without a supporting strategy could be confusing for some investors. It’s for this reason, and as part of our commitment to our members, that every wise-owl recommendation comes with a set investment strategy.
These strategies should help to answer most of your questions – what price do I buy at? How much do I buy? When do I sell? Should I hold? Do I take the offer? What happens if I get it wrong?
